Going Gray is the theme for an exhibition at Svenskt Tenn, opening today. Illustrator Mats Gustafson and designer Ted Muehling have created a home environment inspired by Estrid Ericson and Josef Frank. The soft and restricted colours reflect the need for piece and calm in contrast to the chaos and impulses of city life.
With Going Gray, Ted and Mats wanted to create a refuge where you can think, dream and spend time together. They have staged a home from the vast archives of Svenskt Tenn, with works by Estrid Ericson and Josef Frank combined with their own designs and artistry. To mention a few of the works on display, Mats Gustafson’s wall installation Swan and Ted Muehling’s Sea Shell in pewter (image) will be exhibited.
Going Gray will be open at Svenskt Tenn at Strandvägen 5 in Stockholm until 21 March.
